Mango Fruit

Hello.

I wonder if you can help clarify a question for me...Yesterday evening, while enjoying a snack of Philippine dried mangoes, I noticed "Home of the Original Mango" boldly emblazoned on the front of the package. This leads me to inquire, does the Philippine brand or do the Philippine islands actually hold a historical claim to the mango fruit? Regardless of the answer, your product is delicious, and I thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Eric Fox

Dear Eric,

First of all we would like to thank you for your encouraging words. Yes, Philippine Island is very well known for its mango fruit. For your information, your support goes a long way to the farmers. In fact, currently our mango fruit has become the most expensive local fruit in the country due to high demand. Your continued patronage also make a greener environment in our country for many farmers are beginning to plant many new trees. This is a reverse in the 80's when farmers were chopping down the mango trees for sale as lumber and firewood.

Best regards,
